KOshowKO‘s track ‘Now You’re Talking Baby’ has quite a bit of history. It has been originally released on the Clan Analogue compilation album ‘Intone: Voice Abstractions’ which was nominated for the Art Music Awards in the Excellence in Experimental Music category. Then the track has become an official anthem for the MINA International Mobile Innovation Screening & Film Festival and has been used in the festival’s trailer for a few years now.
Now You’re Talking Baby’ has been made by processing voice recordings with nothing else but a 4-track mobile music app Yellofier and because of this approach, it has been also featured on KOshowKO’s most recent release, the EP titled ‘Mobile Positions’.
The creation of this track was discussed in the academic paper on Idiosyncratic Approaches to Electronic Music-Making through Mobile Technologies. This paper was presented by Martin Koszolko and Nick Wilson at the Mobile Studies Congress 2023 and will be published in print next year.
And now, finally, the track also has its own music video with strong VHS aesthetics, which you can see below.
