This site showcases selected activities of Dr Martin K. Koszolko – a Polish-Australian composer, electronic music producer, researcher, and academic based in Newcastle, Australia. Known for his creative output as KOshowKO, Philosophy of Sound, and iubar project, his work explores mobile music-making, remote collaboration, and sound design.
KOshowKO’s ‘Now You’re Talking Baby’ was featured in the Art Music Awards-nominated compilation and adopted as the MINA Film Festival anthem. The creation of this piece was discussed at the Mobile Studies Congress 2023 and now the track has a music video with VHS aesthetics!
KOshowKO channels the legendary Charanjit Singh by blending the 303 with non-Western instruments in the new track ‘The 303rd Babel of Greed’ made for the Clan Analogue compilation album ‘Cognition 303: Bassline Deviations’. The album is a celebration of the Roland TB-303 Bass Line machine.
After a couple of pre-release singles, the new KOshowKO EP is out today in its Bandcamp Edition. This release explores various ‘mobile positions’, mostly iOS & OP1 based mobile music making strategies
