I’m excited to announce the release of my latest track under the KOshowKO alias. It’s titled ‘The 303rd Babel of Greed‘, and is available on the Clan Analogue compilation album ‘Cognition 303: Bassline Deviations‘.

The track was created as a contribution to Clan Analogue’s celebration of the Roland TB-303 Bass Line machine. ‘Cognition 303: Bassline Deviations’ explores the instrument’s 40-year history and its impact on electronic music, showcasing its newest sonic manifestations. This compilation album is being supported by a series of live events in Sydney and Melbourne, including one recent live show on the 303 day, on 3/3/23.

‘The 303rd Babel of Greed’ channels the legendary Charanjit Singh by blending the 303 with non-Western instruments. I had a lot of fun experimenting with different sounds and techniques to create a piece, which I hope is pushing the boundaries of what can be done with the classic TB-303 sound. My main instruments came in the form of 2 mobile apps – Pure Acid (which is possibly the best TB-303 emulation on iOS) as well as Mid East Drummer for the drum lines. See one of my production stills below…

It’s a pleasure to be included among various talented artists on this album, including Swinging Tasty Bag, Vision Four 5, Andy Rantzen and Ryan Spinoglio, Honeysmack, Composite Cone & Klaps, and Suspect among others. I can’t wait for you to hear all the squelchy masterpieces that make up ‘Cognition 303: Bassline Deviations’.

If you’re interested in checking out the album, head over to Clan Analogue’s website or your favourite music streaming platform. Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy ‘The 303rd Babel of Greed‘ !
